You wait ages (and ages) for a detective series where the smart, troubled detective is a woman, and then two come along at once.

And even more shocking, they’re both on ITV.

Both shows are adaptations of books – Vera from the Vera Stanhope novels by Ann Cleeves and Case Sensitive from The Point of Rescue by Sophie Hannah (no idea why they changed the title).
