This is the 'paying attention' rewatch.
Calum does a lot of standing around doing FUCK ALL.
And if the laptop has fingerprint security, how did whoever stole it get past that?
If it turns out Calum wasn’t being dodgy all along, I am going to a) be pissed off and b) write fic.

See, Calum’s a dick about the encryption from the start, but he was WATCHING Tariq do it. So he had the chance to say something and didn’t.
Also, someone knew when he’d be out with that laptop and knew to target him. How?
SACHA. If nothing else, I am happy that series 10 brought me Sasha.

I would have loved more focus on Tariq reacting to the laptop going missing etc.
I am quite tempted to write Erin (just typed Beth, oops)/Martha. Or just Martha fic, anyway.
Why would a 7% shareholder have private files at a company he’s invested in?
I hate Calum.

I am a bit worried about Dimitri’s mental state. He doesn’t seem bothered by anything.
“Well, that’s a short career. I’ll have to go back to making a decent salary.”
Honestly, it’s like they genderswapped Beth and removed the charm (which I admit was mostly insanity).
I like how people on Spooks just fuck things up for everyone else (‘I’m flooding the web with viruses’)
I thought Martha handled her details being out and about really well – it’s a shame Erin couldn’t recruit her.

The idea that someone is running round pretending to be Harry is insanely amusing.

I am impressed that Martha knows the term ‘burning’ in a spy context.

Ruth is going to feel SO guilty for telling Tariq to go home.
“Are you so nerdy you don’t like the taste of beer?”
Calum mentions the data encryption AGAIN.

That is a particularly ugly poster Tariq has on his wall.

Oh, so Tariq rings off from talking to Harry. I thought he got cut off. Hm.

In the fic I have not written yet, Tariq is actually a BAMF or the poison doesn’t work or something, but Calum totally managed to get his heart beating again. I’m not sure what else happens but Tariq isn’t dead.
