Spooks spoilers: yeah, I’m talking about them.

So! There are spoilers! For Spooks! And some of them are excellent, honest!

Some are not.

Firstly: an insanely gorgeous woman called Lara Pulver is coming in to replace Sophia Myles, and she’ll apparently be in charge of the team.

2 things:

i. Replace? Oh dear. Not entirely surprising, I suppose – Beth started off strong but didn’t quite go anywhere in the end – and at least I’ll probably get to write a fic where Beth just goes ‘actually, why am I working at all? I’m rich. Later, losers!’
ii. If she’s going to be in charge of the team, I’d like to place a bet right now that she’s ex-MI6. It’s got to be a 50% chance by now.

In other news, I only recognise one of the new people, and that is Alice Krige (ALICE KRIGE, EVERYONE). Who will have a double-dealing storyline. Iiiiinteresting.
 
Oh, and there are two new guys, but we don't get any details about their characters. And they're not as hot as Lara Pulver, so *shrug*. 

And then, just when I was all OMG YAY, there was this:

But rest assured that good ol' Harry Pearce will still be the puppetmaster, even though secrets from his past threaten his role as MI5 chief.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Seriously, NO. Did none of the Kudos/writing team WATCH 908? Where Harry took a state secret and gave it to John? IT’S SORT OF FUNDAMENTAL TO THE JOB NOT TO DO THAT.

And secrets from his past? WHY BOTHER? There’s enough stuff in his fucking present, COME ON.

Also he’s not MI5 chief. At least, I hope not. [/nitpicking]
