Vera & Case Sensitive
4 May 2011 16:09You wait ages (and ages) for a detective series where the smart, troubled detective is a woman, and then two come along at once.
And even more shocking, they’re both on ITV.
(on a semi-related note, I need to do a post on Monroe)
(and Danny Cohen’s admittance that there are too many male detectives on BBC1)
Both shows are adaptations of books – Vera from the Vera Stanhope novels by Ann Cleeves and Case Sensitive from The Point of Rescue by Sophie Hannah (no idea why they changed the title).
There's one possiblecharacter-based spoiler in this, but I've whited out the text - just highlight if you want to read, if not just skip. ( Vera )
( Case Sensitive )
